Born in Salceda de Caselas (Spain) in 1979, Oliveira begans his percussion studies in the Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Vigo (Spain) with Carlos Castro and Marcos Vazquez. On from this he studied at the Modern Music Academy "Estudio Escola" in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) with Luis Alberto Rodriguez and Jesus Atanes. Aswell studying at the ESMAE (Escola Superior de Musica e Artes do Espectaculo) in Oporto (Portugal) with Manel Campos. Finally in 2005 he graduated (BA) in percussion with "High Mark" at the Koninklijk Conservatorium (Hogeschool van Beeldende Kunsten, Muziek en Dans) in The Hague (Holland) with Luuk Nagtegaal, Fedor Teunisse, Win Vos, Hans Zonderop, Rob Verhagen, Marck Zoutendijk and Aly N'diaye Rose. In June 2008 he received a "First Class Honors" for a Master in Music Performance (MMus) at the Royal Irish Academy of Music (DCU Dublin City University) headed by Richard O'Donnell.

In the academic year 99/00 he accepted a scholarship from AIE (Artistas, interpretes y Ejecutantes de España).

He has also teaching in the "Albarracin Youth Musicians Meeting" (2003 Teruel-Spain), Salceda de Caselas International Music Course (2005 Pontevedra-Spain), Barbadas Music Course (2006 Ourense-Spain), Galicia International Percussion Course (2002,2003,2004,2005 Vila de Cruces-Spain), Caldas de Reis Summer Course (2007 Pontevedra-Spain), "Timpani Course" at the Conservatorio Profesional de Musica de Pontevedra (2008 Spain), and "Ergodos" Dublin Percussion Festival (2008 Ireland).
He has recorded for Edicions do Cumio, Clave Records, Bolobolo Producciones, Clasix, IGAEM, Radio Clasica RNE, RTE Ireland, RTV Slovenija, and Naxos.
Nowadays, he can be found working with RTE National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, he is founding menber since 2001 of Odaiko Percussion Group and he is a freelance artist.
